
Installing BlueZone Web-to-Host on a Windows 2003 Server
Introduction
BlueZone Web to Host can be installed on any web server, including the new Microsoft 2003 IIS 6.0 Web Server. However, because of new security features, the default settings of IIS version 6.0 will not allow the downloading of file types other than .htm and .html.
Since BlueZone Web-to-Host requires the downloading of file types other than .htm and .html, you will have to configure IIS 6.0 to allow the downloading of these files.
This is accomplished by adding a MIME type for each required file extension to the IIS configuration. Below, you will find a MIME Type Table, which contains the necessary file extensions for each BlueZone emulation client.
Procedure
STEP 1 - Installing the BlueZone Web-to-Host Files
Follow the same exact procedure for installing BlueZone Web-to-Host on a Microsoft 2000 server.

When the installation is complete, please return here, and continue with Step 2.
STEP 2 - Create the Necessary MIME Types
- Launch the Internet Information Services Manager console.
- Locate the web server that running BlueZone Web-to-Host.
- Highlight the server, right click, and select Properties.
- Select the HTTP Header tab.
- Click the MIME Type button.
- Click the New button, and enter the necessary file extensions, along with the MIME Type, from the MIME Type Table.
TIP To save time, copy and paste the MIME Type “application/octet-stream” into each entry.
NOTE You only need to add the file extensions for the BlueZone emulation clients that you intend to use. The first two “Common Files” are required for all BlueZone Web-to-Host emulation clients.

- When you have completed entering the necessary file extensions, click the OK button, and exit all the way out.
- Stop and re-start the web server.
- Test BlueZone Web-to-Host to make sure that it is working properly.
