BlueZone Web Deployed Client Side Requirements

BlueZone Versions 4.1 to 5.0

Web Client

An Internet browser is required to establish a connection with the web server hosting the BlueZone Web-to-Host components.

• Sufficient CPU and memory to run an Internet browser and other typical applications
• Supported Operating Systems:
• Windows XP
• Windows Vista

Windows XP

Browser Requirements

• When using the BlueZone ActiveX Web-to-Host Control Module (Internet Explorer (IE) Only):
• Internet Explorer 5.0 or Greater with:
• Medium Security Settings
  or
• Custom Settings with Signed ActiveX Controls and ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting enabled
• When using the BlueZone Java Web-to-Host Control Module with IE or any Java capable browser:
• J2RE 1.3 or higher installed and Java enabled
• Tested Browsers:
• Mozilla Firefox 1.3 or higher
• Opera 7.2 or higher with identity set to Opera or Mozilla (not IE)

Security Requirements (Requires BaseRegistry=2)

• When using the BlueZone ActiveX Web-to-Host Control Module (Internet Explorer (IE) only):
• Windows Default Security Settings
• “Power User” Permissions or Higher
  or
• Custom Security Settings Including:
• The ability to install software
• The ability to run ActiveX Controls
• The ability to write to \Temp
• The ability to write to \My Documents
  or
• BlueZone ActiveX Web-to-Host Control Module pre-installed using our supplied MSI
• When using the BlueZone Java Web-to-Host Control Module with IE or any Java capable browser:
• Windows Default Security Settings
• "User" Permissions or Higher
• The ability to run Java

• Internet Explorer 7.0 or Greater with:
• Medium Security Settings
  or
• Custom Settings with Signed ActiveX Controls and ActiveX Controls Marked Safe for Scripting enabled
• When using the BlueZone Java Web-to-Host Control Module with IE or any Java capable browser:
• J2RE 1.3 or higher installed and Java enabled
• Tested Browsers:
• Mozilla Firefox 3.0 or higher
• Opera 10.0 or higher with identity set to Opera or Mozilla (not IE)

• The BlueZone Web-to-Host site must be placed into a Trusted Zone
• When using the BlueZone Java Web-to-Host Control Module with IE or any Java capable browser:

• "User" Permissions or Higher
• The ability to run Java
